Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday presented four books centred on India's successful G20 presidency. The books were launched during the G20 University Connect Finale and are now available in ebook format on the G20 India website and app.

The book 'Showcasing Indian Culture at G20' depicts the breadth and diversity of Indian culture displayed to G20 delegates around the country.

The official account of India's G20 Presidency stated on their social media 'X', "The four publications released by PM @narendramodi at the G20 University Connect Finale are available at the G20India website and app in ebook format!" During India's G20 presidency, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) team, led by Joint Secretary Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Deputy Director General ICCR Abhay Kumar, and guided by Director General of ICCR Kumar Tuhin, coordinated over 300 cultural programmes involving over 17000 artists in over 60 locations across the country.

The G20 presidency of India provides an opportunity to promote the entire range of Indian culture as well as India as a premium tourism destination.

It was the first time that G20 events were held in each of India's states and union territories, giving each of them the opportunity to showcase the best of their culture.

During its G20 presidency, India effectively displayed its vast cultural history, which included performing arts, visual arts, heritage sites, and culinary traditions, demonstrating the country's cultural diversity and boosting cross-cultural understanding among member nations.

The G20 presidency of India demonstrated not just its cultural soft power but also its economic potential in the cultural and tourism industries, making it a source of national pride.

Over the last ten months, a variety of classical, folk, and tribal dances and music depicting India's eclectic and heterogeneous society have been performed at G20 events ranging from Kashmir to Andaman and Nicobar, and from Rann of Kutch to Kohima.

The enthralling performances highlighted the country's thriving artistic tradition, with each dance and music style emitting its own distinct taste and storyline.

Furthermore, the G20 University Connect programme was launched with the goal of increasing young understanding of India's G20 Presidency and increasing their involvement in various G20 events.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister also released three books: The Grand Success of the G20 Bharat Presidency: Visionary Leadership, Inclusive Approach; India's G20 Presidency: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam; and Compendium of the G20 University Connect Programme.
